Teacher Manual Introduction to the Teacher Role Life as an ANGLO Teacher Student Programme Overview ANGLO student programmes last 13 or 14-nights for the majority of student groups. The Academic programme spans 9 of these days for 14-night programmes, 8 for 13-night programmes. The students are split into half: group A and group B - one group does lessons in the morning, the other in the afternoon, alternating each day. Most ANGLO Teachers work for two back-to-back student programmes. Here is the outline of a typical student programme from the perspective of an ANGLO Teacher: Note that non-residential teachers aren't entitled to canteen meals on campus 14-Night Programme Day Course Day Morning Afternoon Additional Notes 1 Wed Induction Induction Morning Induction Afternoon 6-hour induction 2 Thu 1 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Complete Class Needs Analysis 3 Fri 2 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A   4 Sat WEEKEND - No teaching   5 Sun WEEKEND - No teaching   6 Mon 3 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Lesson observations 7 Tue 4 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A Day 4 Evaluation 8 Wed 5 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Submission of certificate grades & CPD 1 at 6pm 9 Thu 6 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A   10 Fri 7 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B   11 Sat WEEKEND - No teaching   12 Sun WEEKEND - No teaching   13 Mon 8 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A Day 8 Evaluation, Final Reports & CPD 2 at 6pm 14 Tue 9 Presentations & Certificate A Presentations & Certificate B   Dep/Arr Wed Arrival of new students (if subsequent intake) 13-Night Programme Day Course Day Morning Afternoon Additional Notes 1 Tue Induction Induction Morning Induction Afternoon 6-hour induction 2 Wed 1 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Complete Class Needs Analysis 3 Thu 2 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A   4 Fri 3 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Lesson observations 5 Sat WEEKEND - No teaching   6 Sun 7 Mon 4 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A Day 4 Evaluation & CPD 1 at 6pm 8 Tue 5 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Submission of certificate grades & CPD 2 at 6pm 9 Wed 6 Teaching: Group B Teaching: Group A   10 Thu 7 Teaching: Group A Teaching: Group B Day 7 Evaluation, Final Reports 11 Fri 8 Presentations & Certificates ALL 12 Sat WEEKEND - No teaching, students are in London   13 Sun WEEKEND - No teaching, students are in London 14 Mon No teaching, students are in London   Dep/Arr Wed Arrival of new students (if subsequent intake) Sample programmes for each ANGLO centre can be found on our website Typical Day Every day is split into three periods: morning, afternoon, and evening.
